Mosscare St Vincent’s (MSV) is developing a number of new homes for low cost sale which will be available to buy early next year.
The brand new homes are available to buy through our Shared Ownership programme which is designed to help people who either can’t afford to buy a home outright and get on the property ladder or are keen to rightsize to a new home. If you can’t afford to buy the home you want outright, Shared Ownership could be the perfect solution for you. It lets you purchase a share of your chosen house. You can put in between 35% and 75% of the value of the home. You then pay rent on the remaining portion. You can buy more shares as and when you can afford them – this is called ‘staircasing’. You can eventually own 100% of the property if you want to.
Anyone who is unable to buy a home outright is eligible for Shared Ownership. Applicants can be older persons, first time buyers, young professionals, social housing residents or families on low income. Eligibility is assessed by MSV and the local Help to Buy Agent.
