We’ve been nominated for two Inside Housing Development Awards!

Rise Homes are delighted that two of our schemes forming part of a wider ‘The Depot’ development have been shortlisted at this year’s Inside Housing Development Awards in the categories of Best Development and Best Regeneration Project.

The schemes – The Depot apartments and Route 1 @ The Depot – form part of the 5-acre intergenerational scheme, being delivered by Rowlinson.

The development incorporates over 200 fully furnished new build homes, including the 137 stylish, modern Rise Homes apartments that are available to rent. Located on Bowes St, the former Stagecoach site on Princess Parkway, Manchester stood vacant for many years. It has been redeveloped to provide much-needed sustainable housing options for every stage of life within the community.

The Depot was designed by Rowlinson with the vision to respond to a growing need for diversity in housing by creating a development for all whilst respecting the local community and the Victorian homes which surround the development. It is a great example of a scheme with multiple house types and tenures now occupied by people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Best Regeneration Project (over 100 homes) recognises projects that have turned a place around, created more homes, and enhanced the wider area for all. The Best Development Award celebrates developments that meet the UK’s housing needs and creates a desirable environment for people to live and play. The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a ceremony later in the year.
